Hi All!
You have doubtless heard the old saying 'Seeing is Believing'. What it means is that if you can see something happen or that something exists, then you will have faith in its existence.
This is true when someone else has to prove that x,y,z exists.
What if you are the one to make it happen?
Take for example: those small little changes that we have been talking about. You know, speak slowly, pay attention to the listener, don't put your hands in your pockets when you speak.. etc.
Well, these are actions that you have to do. But to make it happen, you have to believe that it can happen, BEFORE it happens. Not wait to see it happen
You have to believe that you can.
That is the first step. If you think that it cannot happen, it will not.
This applies to problem solving too. You first have to believe that it can be solved. Then solutions occur to you. You think of how it can be achieved only if you think that it can be done!!!
If you start with the idea that it cannot be done.. then there is no way you will even recognise a solution if it knocks on your door in the morning with your favourite hot drink in hand!
Similarly, you have to believe that you can make those changes.
Only then will you be able to even think of the practical aspects of it.
Then you choose the way that works for you. Little by little, one baby step at a time and soon you are a pro.
Happy changing!
See you next week.
Keep those comments coming!
I do enjoy them and they do help me with future posting ideas. So if you want me talk about something in particular, ASK. Send me a mail allverbal@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteKandhas!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the input. I had not realised that it was subtle. Hmmm.. I need to make a stronger point of it in my programs then.
